Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV)

There are no statutory Regulations in the Channel Islands for Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems. Both Channel Islands Health and Safety Inspectorate would adopt UK guidance as best practice. It would therefore be a requirement that any LEV systems used to control hazardous substances would require a periodic Thorough Examination.

Andium Engineering can assist you in carrying out these examinations using a variety of techniques using calibrated test equipment. We will ensure that any enclosures, hoods, ducting, booths and fume cupboards are examined, and we will give you a report in compliance with the current regulations for verification. We can also carry out spray booth clearance time tests using smoke and issue a report along with a clearance time warning notice, where applicable.
